The McKean Township Trustees met April 16th as posted on the front door of the building. Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer answered roll call. After the pledge to the flag, the trustees moved to the business of the evening.
Reports- Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to accept the reports of Fund balances, bank reconciliation, purchase orders and blanket certificates. The trustees then signed a cemetery deed to have on hand. The fiscal officer handed out paperwork from Josh Madel asking all townships to display their local government checkbook on line. A motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all voted no to the invitation at this time.
New Business- The trustees, fiscal officer, and road supervisor viewed all the roads in McKean Township over the week-end. It was agreed we had a lot of ditching to be done and gravel to haul. Trustee Schwartzenberger stated the new road drag would be coming in this week. Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to sell the paver. Trustee McInturff will take pictures and place it out for bid. After discussion on an issue one project, motion to contact the county engineer for estimates on Corner Rd. made by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
After signing all bills, motion to accept all bills and minutes made by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed. Trustee Schwartzenberger stated Tom Maxwell tendered his resignation on the zoning commission board. The trustees agreed that several residents had talked of being on the board and they would actively research each before next meeting and making the replacement.
It was discussed that the proceeds from the grader sale and paver sale should cover the purchase of the new road drag. After much discussion as to road conditions in the township and St Rt 661 being ground up and paved, it was agreed to check about the possible purchase of asphalt grindings for our unimproved roads.
Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to adjourn the meeting.
