The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session June 15, 2015 with all Trustees and Fiscal Officer answering roll call. Terry Holtz, road supervisor also attending. After the pledge to the flag, chairman Schwartzenberger moved onto reports for the evening.
REPORTS-A motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to accept the fund balances, bank reconciliation, purchase orders and blanket certificates after review.
ROAD SUPERVISOR-Terry stated that the first mowing for the year was almost complete. After 2 service calls about the tractor, it was agreed that there were still problems with the air. The trustees agreed they would not pay additional service fee for this problem again. All agreed to call again about brine for dust control. The asphalt grindings were ready to go and filled our lot. Terry stated they would start hauling to Riley Road then onto Chatham. For several weeks he will try to get both part time help to come in on the same day.
NEW BUSINESS-After signing the checks and looking over the minutes, motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to accept the bills and minutes. After much discussion as to road conditions, motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to continue with the bidding out of Timbuk Rd and Lafayette Rd South. It was noted that the county was now using Quick Mow Inc for mowing of county roads. The trustees agreed to check on price and compare to what we are paying before the second mowing. We also noted that the dehumidifier was not keeping up with the meeting room during the summer months. The floor was staying wet and needed attention. We will watch carefully. Trustee Schwartzenberger stated that the McKean website is now being reworked and should be up and running in a few days.
With no further business before the board, motion to adjourn by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
