The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session as published in the local paper February 16, 2016. Trustees McInturff, Wintermute, Fiscal Officer, and Road Supervisor present. After the pledge to the flag and noting no audience was attending, the trustees reviewed the fund balances, bank reconciliation, purchase orders and blanket certificates. Motion to accept the reports as presented made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff.
The 2016 appropriations were then looked at. The fiscal officer explained this is a guess of income from all sources for the year along with a guess of expenses for the year. Motion to accept the 2016 appropriations for McKean Township made by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed. It was noted that resident Beverly Hansel worked at the county building and would stop in during the meeting to pick up the appropriation forms and deliver to the county for the township.
Road Supervisor-Terry questioned ordering and putting up a new sign at Lafayette Rd and Dry Creek. It was agreed it was our responsibility for this sign. He also stated we had all the new signs ordered through the grant at the county. The past several days the road crew had been busy clearing all the roads of the snow. Chip seal for Lundys, Dry Creek, Liberty Church, and Lafayette was then discussed for summer projects.
New Business-It was discussed that Trustee Schwartzenberger had retired. Trustee McInturff stated she had contacted him about being re-appointed to which he had agreed. Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to re-appoint Jerry Schwartzenberger as Trustee for McKean for the remainder of the term. Minutes and bills were then reviewed. Motion to accept and sign the bills and minutes by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
With no further business before the board, chairman Wintermute adjourned the meeting, seconded Trustee McInturff.
