The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session May 9, 2016 with all trustees and fiscal officer answering roll call. The Granville Fire Dept brought out a piece of equipment for the trustees to see before our meeting. After the pledge to the flag, the chairman moved onto the audience.

Audience- Granville Township Fire Chief Jeff Hussey stayed for a few minutes while his crew took the equipment back to Granville. Fire Chief Hussey stated they were very happy that McKean had a very good working relationship with their department.

Reports-The trustees reviewed the fund balances, bank reconciliation, purchase orders, and blanket certificates they received. Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to approve all.

Road Supervisor-Terry talked with trustees about the condition of 4 tires on the Ford 550 truck and the brakes on the red truck. We had just replaced 2 of the tires on the Ford and paid the bill this evening. Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed for the purchase of 4 tires for the 550 and brakes on the red truck. We recently sold 6 lots at the cemetery and the trustees agreed that we needed to be putting gravel on the drive at the cemetery. They also agreed to contact municipal court about bringing out workers to help fix the cemetery fence. Trustee Wintermute requested that our road workers take pictures of junk motor vehicles as they worked throughout the township.
The trustees then talked with Terry about the use of equipment from Madison Township. They have a duropatch machine and chip/seal equipment. The trustees agreed to further check out the prices with Madison Township. It was stated that a new drive on Phillips Rd did not meet our specs for driveways and we would contact the contractor. Prices were then discussed for road repair on Lundys Lane, Lafayette, Liberty Church, Stonequarry, Corner Road, and Dry Creek. It was agreed that the township would prepare the list and advertise in the local paper.

New Business-The fiscal officer stated that Republic Services had contacted the township about the extension available on our contract. Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to take advantage of the extension as the service has been very good. Motion to accept the minutes and pay the current bills by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed. It was also noted that 2 appeal hearings have been set, one for May 26 and one for June 2.

After additional discussion as to all road conditions, motion to adjourn by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
