The Mckean Township Trustees met in regular session Monday, December 12, 2016 with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer Phyllis Ellas answering roll call.  After the pledge to the flag, the trustees started with their reports for the month.

Reports-The trustees reviewed the bank reconciliation, fund balances for the month, purchase orders and blanket certificates.  Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to approve the reports as given.

Road Supervisor-The road supervisor told the trustees starting January 13 he would be off for a week.  Scheduling the part time workers will be discussed closer to this time depending upon the weather. It was agreed we will be putting up the snow fence and we would be taking the road trip through the township on December 29th starting at 8:00am.The Trustees agreed they would talk with Madison  Twp about renting their boom truck possibly in February or March.  Terry stated they had one funeral for the Korean POW, which the Fiscal Office posted the articles and pictures on the wall of the meeting room.  It was then agreed to make the repairs to our power wash.

New Business-Motion made by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to set our organizational meeting for the 9th of January at 7:00pm. Motion made by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute to set the pay for Trustees as salary for 2017. The Township zoning board members updates were then discussed.  Motion made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to re-appoint Dustin Schwartzenberger for a 5 year term on the zoning board and Julie Vanwey for a 5 year term on the appeal board.  The Trustees reviewed all the bills and minutes.  Motion to accept as presented made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed. Discussion turned to the problem driveway culvert on Sunnyside.  The prosecutor office has not been able to get the notice to the resident served.  We have been advised to document everything with pictures and proceed with the road work necessary.  It has also been brought to our attention of a small home on Phillips Rd. that needs to be checked out by the zoning inspector.  As soon as we locate a name and address it will be pursued. The trustees then signed all zoning thank you cards and discussed additional product needed to be used with the salt for winter.
