The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session November 14, 2016 with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer answering roll call.  After the pledge to the flag, the trustees opened the meeting to the audience.

Audience-John Hower, Rinehart Insurance representative was present to discuss the township current insurance coverage and premium that would be due in December.  John also brought cookies for the group.  After the review of the current policy on equipment and building and noting that the policy was $22.00 higher than last year, the trustees agreed they would be paying the current premium at the next meeting for $4272.00 and thanked John for stopping in for the review.

Reports-Motion made by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to accept the fund balances, bank reconciliation, and purchase orders and blanket certificates as presented.

Road Supervisor-With the road supervisor not attending the meeting, the Fiscal Officer explained the road men would be working in the cemetery Thursday and Saturday of this week preparing for the funeral for the Korean POW.

New Business-Meeting schedules from the County Engineer’s office were given to the trustees. It was noted that both of the meetings needed RSVP and one meeting was for the road man.  Wages for the part time workers was then discussed.  The Fiscal Officer stated their last increase was May 10, 2015.  Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to give raises to the two part time workers.  Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed for a Christmas bonus for all workers this December.

After review of the prior month minutes and signing all bills, motion to accept all by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.

Trustee Wintermute then discussed a different type of material for the unimproved roads for when the weather permits.  After much discussion as to road conditions and the schedule from the county engineer office of their 2017 work proposed for McKean being bridges on Dry Creek Road and Hankinson Road, motion to adjourn our meeting by Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
