April 10, 2017

The McKean Township Trustees met April 10, 2017 for their regular monthly meeting. Trustees Wintermute, Schwartzenberger, McInturff, and Fiscal Officer Ellas were all present for the meeting.   After the pledge to the flag, the chairman opened the meeting to the audience.

Mike Snodgrass was present with a diagram of his property for a lot split.  The zoning inspector agreed to check with county planning and answer back in a few days.

The trustees then reviewed the reports given by the Fiscal Officer.  Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to accept the purchase orders, fund balances, and bank reconciliation as given.

Road Supervisor-The mowing contract for roads was reviewed and agreed to remove Riley and Wince from the contract.  We would be doing them ourselves.  Motion to accept the contract for mowing of the roads for 2017 made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed. The trustees then discussed the hiring of another part time road man.  Terry was given a name and number to call if he thinks the work being done on the roads calls for an additional man.  Chip seal pads were then discussed.  Terry agreed to attend the Madison Township meeting to discuss the availability of the equipment from Madison Township.  McKean would like to do parts of Hankinson, top of Phillips, Lafayette part way up from Sportsman Club and maybe another road. It was noted that Lundys Lane chip seal on top of the road was all off on most of the road.  The other 5 roads which were done at the same time did not have this problem.  Trustee Wintermute agreed to contact the contractor for the job and have them check the road.

New Business-Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded TrusteeMcInturff, all agreed to pay the monthly bills and accept the minutes as presented.  The additional paperwork from Park National Bank for the loan to be monthly payments was reviewed and signed by all.  After much discussion about current road conditions and supplies on hand, motion to adjourn by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed.
