The McKean Township Trustees met July 10, 2017 in regular session with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer answering roll call. After the pledge to the flag by the group, the Trustees addressed the audience.

Audience-Fire Chief Dudley Wright of Monroe Fire Department was present to give us the six month list of incident runs into McKean Township and checking to see if we had any other concerns. There were 25 dispatched runs. The Trustees thanked him for stopping in. Doug Barr stopped in to discuss the time frame for Madison to run our chip seal pads for McKean. Our road supervisor stated the roads should be back in condition for the pads by the 24th. The rain we have been having has slowed the work. Doug stated the one man would be paid $175.00 a day and $1500.00 total for the machinery. After some discussion as to road conditions, the trustees thanked him for stopping in. David Griffith of Hankinson Road was present to discuss the trees and fence the township road crew had removed. The trustees stated they had been receiving complaints of heavy brush blocking the line of site at the intersection of Philipps and Hankinson Rd and the ditch line on Philipps was overgrown and causing drainage issues which was causing damage to the road. Mr. Griffith agreed at the time our road supervisor discussed this with him that the fence was old and also entangled in the brush. He then requested that the township replace the fence. The trustees stated that since it was within our right of way we would discuss the issue with our attorney-the County Prosecutor and get back with him.

Reports-Trustee McInturff made the motion to accept the bank reconciliation, fund balances, purchase orders and blanket certificates as presented, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.

New Business-Trustee Wintermute made the motion to accept all of the bills and prior months minutes, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed. Discussion then turned to road conditions. It was noted that the stone was stock piled for the chip/seal and bill paid this evening. The MWS would be delivered to the storage tank and hopefully the weather will be nice starting July 24. Trustee McInturff will follow up with the Prosecutor regarding the Philipps Road request.

Trustee Wintermute then made the motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed.
