The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session November 13, 2017 with Trustees and Fiscal Officer present. After the pledge to the flag, the chairman moved onto the audience.
AUDIENCE-Rinehart-Walters-Danner Insurance agent John Hower was present to review the 2018 policy for the township. Each member was given a copy to follow and is on file with the Township. The trustees thanked John for stopping in and discussing our policy.
REPORTS-The fund balances, bank reconciliation, purchase orders and certificates were then reviewed by the trustees. Motion to accept as presented made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed.
ROAD SUPERVISOR-Terry reported the F-550 truck needs checked out for coolant leak and engine problems. Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee
Schwartzenberger, all agreed to the estimates from FDT Diesel for the coolant check and the estimate of some $800 from Wright Auto Repair. He also reported they had been out grading several roads as the weather permitted.

OLD BUSINESS-Fiscal Officer Ellas had brought in all of the finance papers and bonding papers for signatures for the purchase of the 2008 Freightliner truck. Resolution 17-1113 made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to authorize the issuance and sale of $50,000 Township equipment bonds, all finance papers on file in the office of the Fiscal Officer. The Fiscal Officer will try to locate the old truck title.
NEW BUSINESS-After reviewing and signing all bills, motion to pay the bills and accept the monthly minutes as presented made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed.

The trustees then reviewed the zoning fees for the township. Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed for the following fees: 10 cents per square foot for homes and $400.00 for all appeal hearings to cover the newspaper, court reporter, and copies to board members and adjoining land owners. The fire inspection of the building last month brought to our attention. that the meeting room ceiling was in need of repair before we would pass the inspection. Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to hire the contractor from Mt. Vernon to replace all ceiling tiles with 2 x 2 panels and any ceiling lights deemed necessary to make it safe.
The contract for mowing for 2018 was received. For 2018 with the additional trimming requested, the contract will be $6500.00 for all of the cemeteries and township grounds. Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to accept and sign the mowing contract for 2018.
After much discussion as to roads still needing graded and salt needing to be hauled in and stored for the winter, motion to adjourn by Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
