The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session March 11 with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer Ellas answering roll call. After the pledge to the flag, the chairman opened the floor to the audience.
Audience-Roy VanAtta, executive director of the Licking County Land Bank was present to explain the procedures for obtaining help from the land bank under their new nuisance abatement fund. The Trustees thanked Roy for coming to our meeting.
Zoning-Tom stated he had sent out 3 letters to residents in regards to their property. No zoning permits were written last month
Reports-The Trustees reviewed the fund balances, purchase orders and blanket certificates, and bank reconciliation. Motion to accept all reports by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
New Business-The Trustees signed all bills and reviewed the minutes. Motion to accept all by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to approve all. The township received a mowing bid for the township grounds and all cemeteries from T3’s for 2019 mowing. The bid price is the same as Malones contract and this person had helped Malone. With Malone giving up mowing, motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to accept the T3’s mowing contract for 2019.
OPWC grants were then discussed. Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to turn in for two roads this year being 1.1 mile of Timbuk and 2.1 mile of S.Chatham.
The Trustees then talked of hoping for a smooth transition of one trash hauling company to another.
Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to adjourn the meeting.
