The McKean Township Trustees met Monday, June 20, 2016 as published in the local paper to open bids received for road work.
Trustees Jerry Schwartzenberger, Dannette McInturff, and Fiscal Officer Phyllis Ellas answered roll call. Trustee Jeff Wintermute, absent. Also present from Shelly Co-Ross Kirk and Robert Small-Smalls Asphalt. After the pledge to the flag the trustees opened the bids and read each amount bid for each road in the bid packet. The McKean Township Trustees met June 13, 2016 for their regular meeting with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer answering roll call. After the pledge to the flag by the group, the chairman opened the meeting to the audience present.
Audience-Chris Shook, candidate for County Prosecutor, was present to introduce himself to the board. Michael Darling, representing Rumpke waste stopped by to see if McKean Township was going to extend the current waste contract. It was agreed by all trustees they would be signing the 3 year extension with Republic Services during the meeting. Rumpke agreed they would be back around in three years. Resident Doug Davidson stopped in to report he had licensed three of the vehicles on his property. It was noted that the ag equipment was on R-1 residential property. The Trustees thanked all for stopping in for their meeting.

The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session May 9, 2016 with all trustees and fiscal officer answering roll call. The Granville Fire Dept brought out a piece of equipment for the trustees to see before our meeting. After the pledge to the flag, the chairman moved onto the audience.
Audience- Granville Township Fire Chief Jeff Hussey stayed for a few minutes while his crew took the equipment back to Granville. Fire Chief Hussey stated they were very happy that McKean had a very good working relationship with their department.
Reports-The trustees reviewed the fund balances, bank reconciliation, purchase orders, and blanket certificates they received. Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to approve all.

The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session March 14, 2016 with all trustees and fiscal officer attending. Also present were members from the zoning board and zoning appeal board. After the pledge to the flag and roll call, the Fiscal Officer swore in Trustee Jerry Schwartzenberger. The zoning members met to organize and vote in their officers for 2016.
Audience-Dustin Schwartzenberger discussed the need if any for single axle truck with plow. The Trustees agreed they will eventually be in need of a different truck replacing the older red truck. Jeff Kling and Mr. Lemmert were present to discuss Phillips Road. Mr. Kling thanked the road supervisor for trying to keep up with the wear and tear of the road during the construction of the new home on the road. When asked where Mr. Kling’s house was, he stated he did not have a home in McKean Township. They stated they had contacted the county about improving Phillips and were told there is grant monies through the state for this kind of project. The Trustees agreed they have been granted many projects through State Issue 1 and 2 monies over the years.

The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session as published in the local paper February 16, 2016. Trustees McInturff, Wintermute, Fiscal Officer, and Road Supervisor present. After the pledge to the flag and noting no audience was attending, the trustees reviewed the fund balances, bank reconciliation, purchase orders and blanket certificates. Motion to accept the reports as presented made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff.
The 2016 appropriations were then looked at. The fiscal officer explained this is a guess of income from all sources for the year along with a guess of expenses for the year. Motion to accept the 2016 appropriations for McKean Township made by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed. It was noted that resident Beverly Hansel worked at the county building and would stop in during the meeting to pick up the appropriation forms and deliver to the county for the township.

The McKean Township Trustees met January 11, 2016. The Fiscal Officer accepted newly elected Trustee McInturff and appointed Trustee Wintermute’s bond and oath of office. Their bonds along with the Fiscal Officer’s bond will be filed with the County Treasurer office. With all Trustees and Fiscal Officer present, the board was led in the pledge to the flag by Trustee McInturff.
The Fiscal Officer then opened the floor for election of a chairman for 2016. Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger for Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed for Trustee Wintermute to be the chairman for 2016.

The McKean Township Trustees met April 16th as posted on the front door of the building. Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer answered roll call. After the pledge to the flag, the trustees moved to the business of the evening.
Reports- Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to accept the reports of Fund balances, bank reconciliation, purchase orders and blanket certificates. The trustees then signed a cemetery deed to have on hand. The fiscal officer handed out paperwork from Josh Madel asking all townships to display their local government checkbook on line. A motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all voted no to the invitation at this time.
