The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session Monday August 14, 2017 with Trustees McInturff, Wintermute, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer Ellas answering roll call. After the pledge to the flag and noting that no audience was attending, the trustees moved onto the reports for the month.
Reports-The fund balances, bank reconciliation, and purchase orders and blanket certificates were then reviewed. It was noted the second half property tax monies had not been received to date by the County Auditor. Motion made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to accept reports as presented.
Road Supervisor-Terry reported that the chip/seal pads being put down on various roads would be completed by Tuesday. Madison Twp will have a bill for us within 2 weeks. We then discussed the problems with the red truck. Trustee Wintermute agreed to check on prices for a good used truck. It was noted that the second roadside mowing has not started yet and school buses would start running August 21. Terry agreed to contact the mowing service on Tuesday. We would be doing a burial in the Fredonia Cemetery later this week.
Old Business- The prosecutor opinion on the Griffith property on Philipps Road and Hankinson states we have no liability regarding replacing the fence.
New Business-After signing all of the bills and reviewing the prior meeting minutes, motion to accept by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
The trustees then reviewed the Resolution 17-0814 prepared by the Licking County Prosecutor. Trustee Schwartzenberger moved the adoption of Resolution 17-0814 seconded by Trustee McInturff, roll call vote being all yeas. Resolution adopted. After much discussion as to what road work had been completed and what work still needed to be done, motion to adjourn the meeting by Trustee Wintermute, all agreed.
