McKean Township is located in Central Ohio, approximately 45 miles east of Columbus and just outside Granville, Ohio. The Trustees of McKean Township have developed this Web site to inform residents and future residents with information on zoning, public services, and events pertaining to the Township.

McKean Township is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio, organized in 1818. It has 4 elected officials consisting of 3 Trustees and a Fiscal Officer. Each official is elected to a four-year term.

PUBLIC NOTICE:

McKean Township Trustees will meet at 6pm in special session on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 to interview candidates for the position of Fulltime Road Superintendent. In accordance with ORC 121.22 (G)(1), candidate interviews will take place during executive session. Any hiring decision will be made in open session.
