The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session September 14, 2020 with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer Ellas answering roll call. After the pledge to our flag, the president moved onto the audience. Audience-Mr. Downer was present asking if any determination had been made about a well at the cemetery and requested a separate statement about his grave. Trustee McInturff stated we would be checking with the County Prosecutor as to the legal liability for the township and would get back with him. Zoning-Stan Robinson gave each copies of the month business including letters that had been issued. The Trustees agreed that south of Fredonia on St Rt 661 looked a lot nicer. Reports-Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to the fund balances, purchase orders and blanket certificates. New Business-Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to pay the monthly bills. The trustees then looked over the Schedule A & B of levies received from the auditor office. Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute all agreed to accept the resolution agreeing to the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor for 2021. Roads were then discussed. Trustee Wintermute stated that Smalls would be coming to McKean later this week to start the work on the roads. A change order was presented to increase the depth of asphalt for South Chatham Road. Trustees discussed and Trustee McInturff motioned to accept and approve the change order with the understanding the final total would be based on actual quantities from load tickets. Trustee Wintermute seconded, all agreed. Trustee Wintermute will meet with Road Superintendent T. Holtz and Smalls to layout the project. Trustee McInturff agreed to talk to Mohican Valley rep about the final work needed at the cemetery on the fence. Additional grindings have been put on Lafayette Rd. Motion to adjourn the meeting by Trustee McInturff, all agreed.
