  1. Call to order, Roll Call, and Pledge of Allegiance

Dannette McInturff called to order the regular meeting of the McKean Township at 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 11.

The following members were present:

  1. Trustee Jerry Schwartzenberger, Trustee Jeff Wintermute, Fiscal Officer Lindsey Hoskinson, Assistant Bev Hansel, Zoning Inspector Larry Hansel, Road Superintendent Bradd Bruce
  2. Guests – None
  • Township Roads Report – Bradd

They have a lot of cleanup to do in ditches from water.

Worked on responding to Township resident questions and issues due to drainage.

Grading is completed on many roads.

Culvert repaired for Lazy R.  Blaster worked to get debris out of ditch and culvert itself.

Trustees gave direction to put dump rock in Hankinson Road.  Dry Creek Road discussion tabled until July because the Road is in the Flood Plain and the County has instructed us we cannot take certain actions without potential disruption to the Flood Plain and citizens property.

Bob Musgrave of 6562 Chatham Road reached out with some drainage issues which are being worked on to fix.

Jeff presented a Proposal from Small’s Asphalt Paving Inc.  The Proposal includes work on Dry Creek Road which we cannot legally do.  The Proposal also includes work on Lafayette Road.

  • Vote taken to proceed with Lafayette Road – vote Passed
  • Grindings to be supplied in addition by the Township at an extra cost.
  • There is adequate funding in Funds 2011, 2021, and 2031 for this project.

In addition, Riley Road work may occur later in this year to maintain it as a single chip seal.

Zoning Report – Larry

Larry shared his Zoning Report.

Dannette shared the discussions with the County Prosecutor regarding the fencing around the trailers and campers.

6592 Chatham Road certified letter to be sent out by Larry this week.  Larry will provide a copy to me for my records.

Larry provided a Draft of the Comprehensive plan.  Larry provided additional info to Jim Bidigare to continue to make corrections.

  1. Fiscal Officer Report – Lindsey

Trustees and Fiscal Officer reviewed and approved prior months Receipts, Payments, and Fund Activity.  Also reviewed and approved paying all electronic bills and all checks presented.  Motion made by Trustee McInturff and seconded by Trustee Wintermute.

  • Trustees Report

Jeff presented a Resolution to Prohibit the Construction of Utility Scale for Solar in Unincorporated Areas.  Trustee Wintermute and McInturff voted Yeay, and Trustee Schwartzenberger voted Nay.  Resolution 2024-5 completed by Trustee McInturff.

 Motion to Adjourn General Meeting at 9:15pm
