  1. Call to order, Roll Call, and Pledge of Allegiance

Dannette McInturff called to order the regular meeting of the McKean Township at 7:00pm on Monday, August 13.

The following members were present:

  1. Trustee Jerry Schwartzenberger, Trustee Jeff Wintermute, Fiscal Officer Lindsey Hoskinson, Assistant Bev Hansel, Zoning Inspector Larry Hansel, Road Superintendent Bradd Bruce

Approval of July’s minutes, moved by Dannette and seconded by Jerry.

Comprehensive Plan

Jim Bidigare

Discussed proposal from Crossroads.  The Board of Trustees have tabled it for further review, moved by Dannette and seconded by Jerry.

Provided update on Fair (August 12).

  • Township Roads Report – Bradd

Riley Road ditching and grindings completed.  Stone added down to Adam Shipley’s house.

He also installed 1400 ton of asphalt grindings on Lafayette Road.  It’s all been graded as well.  Chip and seal will start Thursday.  Ditching is done from Dutch Lane to Sportsman Club.

 Chris Lantz has continued to help with road work and is doing a great job.

Jeff gave Bradd instruction on road work to do and in what order.

Bradd presented a bid to work on truck.  Dannette asked for a 2nd opinion.  Asked Bradd to provide a follow-up on labor cost in this quote as well.

  1. Zoning Report – Larry

Larry provided his report for the month of July.  He discussed his report and there were no questions or concerns by Trustees.

Dannette presented a proposal to resolve to vacate alleys.  She provided all information regarding the resolution.  Resolution 7-2024 passed by all Trustees.

  1. Cemetery Report – Bev Hansel

Provided report on graves sold and questions regarding graves.  There are open graves and we need to be able to further research to provide legal notice to sell.

Dannette suggested that Bev use Ancestry.com for 30 days to see if it’s helpful before purchasing an Annual subscription.

  • Fiscal Officer Report – Lindsey

Trustees and Fiscal Officer reviewed and approved prior months Receipts, Payments, and Fund Activity.  Also reviewed and approved paying all electronic bills and all checks presented.  Motion made by Trustee McInturff and seconded by Trustee Wintermute.

941s for 2021 were not filed timely by prior Fiscal Officer.  They will go out in tomorrow’s mail.
