  1. Call to order, Roll Call, and Pledge of Allegiance

Trustee McInturff called to order the regular meeting of the McKean Township at 7:00pm on Monday, October 13th.

The following members were present:

  1. Trustee Jeff Wintermute, Trustee McInturff, Trustee Schwartzenberger, Fiscal Officer Lindsey Hoskinson, Zoning Inspector Larry Hansel, Road Superintendent Bradd Bruce, Cemetery Assistant Bev Hansel

Minutes were Reviewed and Approved as Submitted.  Trustee Schwartzenberger moved to approve minutes and Trustee Wintermute seconded the motion.

Reviewed the insurance policy and coverages that we will have for 2026.

Reviewed the changes we have in place for 2026.

Township Roads Report – Bradd

Bradd reviewed road projects completed thus far.  Had a resident bring forth issue of water running across the road on Dry Creek.  Bradd shared there is a culvert there and asked how to proceed with repair.

Has been ditching and dragging roads.

Truck should be completed the week before Thanksgiving.  The truck title is here and Lindsey will get tags for it from the BMV.

Discussed other items needed to complete with Trustees.

Trustee McInturff called an Executive Session.  They returned from Executive Session within 15 minutes.

Zoning Report – Larry

Shared Zoning Activity up to August 11 to include permit requests and other questions from the month.

Larry shared questions regarding issues in the Township and the Trustees provided feedback on how to handle.

Fiscal Officer Hoskinson shared a letter from Atty. Klema regarding 3G Concrete and Coatings.  Trustee McInturff asked that we send this to our Attorney.

Cemetery Report – Bev Hansel

Cemetery Grant was applied for and we were not approved.  We will consider applying earlier in the future when the program opens instead of just paying for projects without waiting for the grant.

We had one burial.

Fiscal Officer Report – Lindsey

Trustees and Fiscal Officer reviewed and approved prior months Receipts, Payments, and Fund Activity as well as the Bank Reconciliation.  Trustee Schwartzenberger moved to approve all and Trustee Wintermute seconded the motion.

Bills and Checks were reviewed and signed for Approval.  Trustee Schwartzenberger approved and Trustee McInturff seconded.

Fiscal Officer Hoskinson shared the new terms of our bank account as well as fees and interest.  We receive 2.2% on our account as interest earnings.

Trustee Wintermute shared that the State Rollback tax Fire EMS checks to Monroe and Granville Township were missed as there are still funds in Fund 2111.  These checks will be written during the November meeting.

Rinehart, Walters, and Danner Insurance sent over our policy review document.  Changes were made and will be sent to the agent prior to our next meeting.

Trustees Report

Trustee McInturff will be reaching out to Crossroads to discuss next steps in our Zoning Planning process.
