The McKean Township Trustees met Monday, January 11, 2021 for their meeting with their masks on as requested. Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer Ellas answering roll call. After some discussion with 2 residents about their zoning neighbor issue, the trustees started their meeting. Our meeting was then started with the pledge to the flag. Motion made by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to Trustee McInturff being the chairman for the year. Zoning-The trustees had discussed the zoning replacement with a resident and asked that he attend the meeting. Larry Hansel was present and discussed the zoning inspector position with them. Motion by Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to hire Larry Hansel as the zoning inspector for McKean. Trustee McInturff will update the township zoning website. Reports-Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to the balances, and certifications. Noting that our road supervisor was absent, the trustees moved onto the new business of the year. After the review of the December minutes, motion to accept by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed. Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to pay the bills. The trustees then reviewed and by motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to the all of the following: all cemetery rules and prices to remain the same, agreed to the few changes on the inventory, set our monthly meetings to remain the second Monday each month at 7:00, set any gas reimbursement for 56cents a mile, have all of the trustees to be over all of our roads, authorize the fiscal officer to request advances against any and all taxes collected and be able to reallocate with a fund. All purchases over $500.00 to be approved by 2 trustees and fiscal officer, and keep current our credit card and expense reimbursement policies. Temporary appropriations were then made by motion of Trustee Schwartzenberger, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed for the following: Gen Fund-$11,000, Gas Fund-$6500, Motor Vehicle-$1500, and R&B $8000. Issue 2 projects were then discussed by the trustees. We would like to try for Riley, Wince, or Phillips. The Trustees will discuss this with the county engineer office. The zoning boards will be meeting next month at 6:30pm on township night to organize for the year and meet the new zoning inspector that was hired at this meeting. After much discussion as to road conditions, motion to adjourn by Trustee McInturff, all agreed.
