Dannette McInturff called to order the regular meeting of the McKean Township at 7:00pm on Monday, August 1. The following members were present: Trustee Jerry Schwartzenberger, Trustee Dannette McInturff, Trustee Jeff Wintermute, Fiscal Officer Lindsey Hoskinson, Maintenance Supervisor Bradd Bruce, Zoning Inspector Larry Hansel, Assistant Bev Hansel Guests: Jordan Atherton and Sherry Atherton, on behalf of McKean Community Organization Fiscal Officer Lindsey Hoskinson provided prior months minutes. McKean Community Organization Jordan has been working with the MCO for the construction of a playground. She has received quotes for up to $20,000 and is looking for funding. Dannette suggested grants from the TJ Evans Foundation and Operation Roundup. Jordan has submitted preliminary grant requests to some groups already. Dannette stated we would be willing to contribute once we know the status of the Bi-Laws and the 501c3 status. Reports and Old Business Road Supervisor Report Gave report on various road work. Culverts and maintenance being completed. Mowing continuing as well. Jeff and Dannette reviewed road work with Bradd and gave recommendation for stone. Trustees reviewed the budget to estimate remaining stone expenditures for the remaining months of 2022. Zoning Inspector Report Larry provided a Zoning Report which will be on file at the township building. Additional questions regarding zoning applications and letters he needs to send to residents. Fiscal Officer Report Provided last months’ reconciled bank statements, bills paid since last meeting, and credit card statement with receipts. New bills provided for review to be paid at tonight’s meeting. ACH for payroll is now working and paystubs provided to each employee. Motion made to accept these financials, bills paid and provided at meeting tonight, and payroll made by Dannette McInturff and seconded by Jerry Schwartzenberger. Reviewed emails and questions with the trustees. The Resolution to place an additional Fire and EMS $2mil continuing levy on the ballot was passed tonight. The Fiscal Officer will file the necessary documents with the Board of Elections tomorrow. Trustee Reports Salt-barn – concrete pad is complete and ready for the barn. Jerry will call the builder and Jeff will be ready to move dirt once complete. New Business and Reports Chip and seal project to begin in August on North Chatham Road, South Chatham Road, Timbuk Road, and a portion of Lafayette Road Central.
