The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session Monday, August 10, 2020 with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, and Fiscal Officer Ellas making a quorum and as allowed during COVID-19 pandemic, video conference with Trustee Schwartzenberger present. After the pledge to the flag the trustees moved on to the audience present. Audience-Mr. Downer was present, a resident from Liberty Twp. with questions about our cemetery. He discussed with the trustees that there was a well at our cemetery at one time and he would be willing to help the township with a donation to have another, he would also like to meet at the cemetery Friday to discuss if there is room for his grave. Mr. Downer also committed on the repaired fence links and hopes they will be put up soon. The trustees agreed to check about another well at the cemetry and our road workers will meet with him Friday about the other grave. Zoning-It was noted the Licking County Planning Commission sent their report back on proposed amendments to our zoning. The Zoning Board will now set a public hearing on the proposed amendments before sending on to the trustees. Reports-Motion made by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to accept the fund balances, purchase orders, and blanket certificates. Fiscal Officer Ellas stated that Madison Township will probably have the equipment contract finished by the County Prosecutor for our next meeting and we can make the payment agreed upon at that time. Roads-Terry stated that all containers in the county recycle bins have lids now and the bins are for recycle goods only. We do not have dates for when the state will be putting in the culvert at Timbuk Rd or when the paving on Chatham Rd will start. They have been trimming trees on Lafayette Rd and they still have more trees to trim on various roads and mowing to finish. Trustee Schwatzenberger stated the mower would be in around 45-60 days and the tractor should be in around January. New Business-Motion to pay the bills made by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed. After discussion as to road conditions, motion by Trustee Wintermute to adjourn.
