Trustee McInturff called to order the regular meeting of the McKean Township at 7:00pm on Monday, July 14th. The following members were present: Minutes were Reviewed and Approved as Submitted. Guests Attendance and Discussion – Jim Bidigare – Zoning Crossroads reviewed the new Zoning Ordinance to our Comprehensive plan. They looked at definitions, looked to see if it matching codes, and provided additional info for consistency. They also suggested breaking items into sub-articles. Trustee Schwartzenberger feels after viewing a Zoning Webinar, he will be stepping back from the Zoning Board meetings. Fiscal Officer Hoskinson has Zoning attendance up to June 10th. Jim met with Crossroads in person and will submit expenses including mileage to the Fiscal Officer for reimbursement. Written Report provided by Bradd, Chris Lantz, and Bill Waller. Lindsey will include this in the Minutes. Bradd discussed work completed by Small’s and any remaining items to fix. The septic for the building has been located. He had it pumped as well and will continue to have this done on an annual basis. There are trees to trim with the mower that are hitting the F550 when he drives the roads so he will attempt to cut them back this week. Discussed other items needed to complete with Trustees. Shared Zoning Activity up to August 11 to include permit requests and other questions from the month. Larry brough forth a Right of Way permit to the meeting to ask about pricing. Our Zoning Fees have not been updated since 2022. Moving forward, we need to review on an Annual basis. For right now, Larry will charge $40 and obtain information from the County and other Townships regarding permit fees. Shared activity on Lot Splits and Zoning issue with 3G Concrete and Coatings. Cemetery Grant was applied for and we should hear soon. Trustees and Fiscal Officer reviewed and approved prior months Receipts, Payments, and Fund Activity as well as the Bank Reconciliation. Bills and Checks were reviewed and signed for Approval. Trustee Schwartzenberger approved and Trustee McInturff seconded. The Licking County Commissioners met in session and approved the vacating of the alleys in Highwater. Documentation will be retained in our files. The hearing will be August 28. Trustee Schwartzenberger will attend. Cat Run Road continues to be dusty. How can we make improvements for residents? We discussed brine. Fiscal Officer Hoskinson will reach out to someone who spread brine at the Hartford Fair for dust recently. Trustee McInturff shared how our new camera system will work and where the data is stored. Trustee Schwartzenberger shared cost estimates for signs he is procuring for the Township. More detail to follow next meeting. Seconded by Trustee Jeff Wintermute
