The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session August 12, 2019 with all trustees and fiscal officer answering roll call.  After the pledge to the flag by the group, the meeting was opened to the audience.

AUDIENCE-Two residents from Phillips Road were present asking for work to be done on the hill on their road.  The trustees agreed along with our roadman that we will take care of the problem. They also questioned noxious weeds.  The trustees stated they would follow the ORC 5579.04 if anyone in the township reported the noxious weeds. They also agreed they were very happy with the township roadman. The trustees thanked them.  Wes stopped in questioning the dumpster at the park. The trustees agreed that it was ordered in with the contract with Rumpke and would remain at the park.

ZONING-Stan gave the trustees a monthly report, no permits were issued but several letters were mailed and phone calls answered.  The township has requested a survey of the cemetery across from the township building.

REPORTS-The trustees reviewed the fund balances, purchase orders and bank reconciliation.  Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to accept as presented.

ROAD SUPERVISOR-Terry stated they were ready to chip/seal portions of Lafayette (Sportsman Club to Lundys Ln) and south to the Bird property, and Cat Run Rd to Timbuk. They would be working as weather permitted.  The trustees then discussed the truck and a bucket truck purchase or rental to be used Jan, Feb, and March. Trustee McInturff requested they bring the bucket truck discussion back up during the November meeting. It was also noted a funeral was scheduled for Sept. 3.

OLD BUSINESS-Our cemetery fence was again discussed.  Prices for replacement and prices for repair were reviewed.  All agreed Trustee Schwartzenberger could move forward with fixing what he could.

NEW BUSINESS-Motion to pay the monthly bills as presented made by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed.

The OPWC grant applications are due to be turned in by Oct. 4.  The road counts have been completed but the county has not given prices for Timbuk Rd or S Chatham Rd.  The Trustees will continue to work on the applications. After discussion about a few of our roads and the mowing being done, motion to adjourn by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed.
