  1. Call to order, Roll Call, and Pledge of Allegiance

Dannette McInturff called to order the regular meeting of the McKean Township at 6:00pm on Monday, December 16th with the Budget meeting beginning the meeting followed with the Regular meeting at 7:00pm.

The following members were present:

  1. Trustee Jerry Schwartzenberger, Trustee Jeff Wintermute, Fiscal Officer Lindsey Hoskinson, Zoning Inspector Larry Hansel, Road Superintendent Bradd Bruce

Cemetery Assistant Bev Hansel not in attendance.

Approval of November’s minutes, moved by Dannette and seconded by Jerry.

  1. Guests –
  • Township Roads Report – Bradd

Discussed further work to be done on the shop walls and ceiling.  We have roughly $12,000 left in the Covid Fund 2272 that we can use for this purpose so long as we have a contract signed with a contractor by 12/31/2024.

  • Dannette moved we accept the bid from Miller Brothers Construction, Jeff seconded the bid. Jerry disagreed that the costs are out of line.
  • Dannette called a vote. 2 Yeays, 1 Neay.  Yeas Trustee McInturff and Trustee Wintermute.  Neay Trustee Schwartzenberger.
  • Miller Brothers Construction bid signed, scanned and emailed to Nate Miller.
  • Phone call to Nate Miller stating we have accepted his bid and will be taking them a check for 10% down for downpayment to start job.
  • Remaining funds to be appropriated in a Purchase Order for this purpose.
  1. Zoning Report – Larry

Larry provided his monthly Zoning report.

The Trustees McInturff and Schwartzenberger have agreed to follow up with the Prosecutor’s action against the property owners on 2168 Sportsman Club Road.

Zoning meetings have been occurring and the Fiscal Officer is still requesting minutes and attendance

Discussed the ongoing issue of junk cars and how to remove.

  1. Cemetery Report – Bev Hansel

Not in attendance.

  • Fiscal Officer Report – Lindsey

Trustees and Fiscal Officer reviewed and approved prior months Receipts, Payments, and Fund Activity.  Also reviewed and approved paying all electronic bills and all checks presented.  Motion made by Trustee McInturff and seconded by Trustee Wintermute.

  1. Trustees Report

Trustee Wintermute shared the package bids for the new dumptruck.  Ace Equipment for $93,830.00 and Fyda Freightliner $121,380.00 for a total cost of $215,210.00.  We need to order it now and then secure financing for the truck purchase.  Trustees Wintermute moved we order the truck.  Trustee McInturff seconded.  All voted.  All yeays.  All 3 Trustees signed bids to order.

Trustee Schwartzenberger is working on purchasing new signs for the township.
