Dannette McInturff called to order the regular meeting of the McKean Township at 7:00pm on Monday, March 13th.

The following members were present:

  1. Trustee Jerry Schwartzenberger, Trustee Dannette McInturff, Trustee Jeff Wintermute, Fiscal Officer Lindsey Hoskinson, Zoning Inspector Larry Hansel, Assistant Bev Hansel, Maintenance Supervisor Bradd Bruce
  2. Not present: N/A

Guests:  None

  • Township Roads Report – Bradd

They are currently painting the township meeting room.

Also working on overhead door for the salt barn.

They will also continue ditching on roads especially Riley Road.

Cemetery was fixed based on community member email.

Jerry presented a quote from Pavement Technologies of Westlake, OH for asphalt rejuvenation of Timbuk Road.  Dannette moved to proceed with engaging this company.  Price quote is for $1.00 per square yard.  Estimated at $15,000, with actual cost to be based on actual quantities.  Jeff seconded.

Discussed if we should apply for OPWC Funding for pavement of roads.  Dannette will submit a request for engineering to the Licking County Engineers Office for Lafayette Road from Sportsman Club to Lundys, and Riley Road from Burlington Township line to Reynolds Road.

  1. Zoning Report – Larry
    Larry attached his Zoning activity for the month of March. Attached with Minutes.

 Fiscal Officer Report – Lindsey

Reviewed monies owed to Granville and Monroe Township from prior fire and ems funds.  Completed a Funds Balance Adjustment to fix 2 entries paid out of Fire Fund in error in 2022.  Checks written to respective townships for balance to clear out Fire Fund to $0.00

 February minutes were reviewed and approved.

Trustees and Fiscal Officer reviewed and approved prior months Receipts, Payments, and Fund Activity.  Also reviewed and approved paying all electronic bills and all checks presented.  Motion made by Dannette and seconded by Jerry.

Reviewed the mowing contract for T3s.  Dannette reached out to Anthony about payments not invoiced to us for Mowing for 2022.  We will hold off on signing the contract for 2023 until we have some questions answered.

 Trustees Report

Dannette brought forth the idea of adding Security Cameras to the building.  She will research and bring a proposal to April’s meeting.

All Walls & Ceilings bid provided for spray foam.  Waiting on other Bids.

The MCO will have a fundraiser on April 14th to help build the playground.
