The McKean Township Trustees met for their meeting as posted October 21, 2019 with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer Ellas answering roll call. After the pledge to the flag, the trustees were given all the bonding and loan papers from Park National Bank for signatures. After much discussion all papers were agreed upon and signed as required. Zoning Report-Our zoning inspector sent in the current permits issued. Stan had some 4 permits in the works and many calls regarding zoning. Reports-The trustees then reviewed their reports. Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to accept all reports as presented. We also received the incident list from Monroe Township Fire Department. Some 34 runs were made into McKean between 01/01-10/13. Road Supervisor-It had been discussed our welder had not been working for some time. Darren Phillis had an up to date welder for $1200. Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to purchase the welder for $1200.00. Terry stated the power washer was in need of repair. All trustees agreed to the repair. Madison Township will be using our hoe next week for a few days. We will start hauling in salt next week from Granville. Terry also stated they have been patching many roads. Old Business-Our Resurfacing Chatham Rd South application to the state was turned in October 4. The township had requested a survey by the County Engineer of the cemetery across from the township some 2 months back. After discussion, motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to expedite the procedure by hiring Brian Smart Surveying to complete the needed survey. New Business-Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to pay the monthly bills.
