The McKean Township Trustees met in regular session September 9, 2019 with Trustees Wintermute, McInturff, Schwartzenberger, and Fiscal Officer Ellas answering roll call. After the pledge to the flag, the trustees started the meeting with the zoning report.

Zoning- Zoning Inspector Stan Robinson gave his monthly report to the trustees. Two agriculture barn permits were issued.

Reports- The trustees reviewed their reports of certificates, banking, and purchase orders for the month. Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustees McInturff, all agreed to accept as reported.

Road Supervisor- Terry reported that the truck was in need of brakes and there would be no more dumping of dirt at the property off North St. Timbuk Rd and S Chatham Rd were then discussed as OPWC projects. Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Wintermute, all agreed to apply for S Chatham setting $50,000 for the township share. Motion by Trustee McInturff, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all agreed to address Timbuk Rd for resurfacing the first of the year. Trustee McInturff agreed to be the chief executive officer with Trustee Wintermute agreeing to be the project manager for the S. Chatham Rd project if our application was approved by the state next year.

New Business-Our county amount and rates for taxes in McKean were received and reviewed by the trustees. The fire and ems levies will bring in approximately $192373 and the road and bridge levy $97787. After review, resolution by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee Schwartzenberger, all voted yes to accept the amounts and rates as determined by the county budget commission and certifying them to the county auditor.

The truck ordered was then discussed. Motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to purchase the new truck from Coughlin and finance $53,000.00 of the $74,330.00 with Park National Bank.

The Trustees then discussed our trash contract and the recycle bins located at the building. The recycle bins are changed out three times a week and Rumpke still notes several residents have not changed over to their service. With no further business before the board, motion by Trustee Wintermute, seconded Trustee McInturff, all agreed to adjourn.
